Avant le BUT :
In order to have a clearer vision of my future orientation, I started with a tenth grade in general and technological option at the Jean-Hanzelet high school, in Pont-à-Mousson. Keenly interested in computer science, I decided to move towards a specialization in Science Technologiques de l’Ingénierie et du Développement Durable (Technological Science of Engineering and Sustainable Development), known as STI2D. During my final year, the ITEC option (Technological Innovation and Eco-Design) allowed me to strengthen my knowledge in the use of materials and their importance in the technological objects that surrounds us. I was able to discover the fundamental theoretical principles concerning energy, information and matter, and take part in real projects, in particular for the creation of a technical object.
BUT MMI :

The B.U.T. Métiers du Multimédia et de l’Internet (MMI) trains technicians in the sectors of communication, design, web development, audiovisual and digital project management over 3 years. The University Bachelor of Technology teaches how to shape a communication strategy while creating and managing the media necessary for its implementation in a coherent and relevant manner. It allows you to assimilate computer graphics tools for web integration and to understand how to program a mobile application.
I trained in web development and professions around audiovisual, such as editing or creating computer graphics, for example. I also had the opportunity to familiarize myself with the use of professional software and equipment, which allows me to develop my knowledge of the digital world. In this context, I learned the basics of audiovisual production, graphics, web development, web integration, marketing content management, economics, law and project management.
Multimedia and internet professions are omnipresent: from the design/production of websites (companies, administration, etc.) to community management (animation of pages on social networks), including the production and management of content. MMI training strives to integrate the innovative dimension of this sector by relying on the skills and knowledge of today’s professions, with high-tech equipment and professional techniques.
I then decided to specialize myself with the Digital Creation course, dedicated to the expression of a message on different medias in the form of graphic design and multimedia writing. Following this choice, I refined my orientation towards the professions of graphics and design.
My third year of formation allowed me to work on video game production and 3D animation projects, including motion capture recording and video mapping creation.
Why this choice :

I have always been attracted to creation, design and audiovisual. A visit to France 3 studios allowed me to discover the behind of the scenes of a television news program: the work of journalists, video editing, presentation of subjects. Previously, I enjoyed publishing game tutorial videos on YouTube: feeling the atmosphere of professional editing totally motivated me to follow this path. After searching on the Onisep website for training courses that could meet my expectations, I naturally turned to the BUT MMI. The distance learning open days organized by the IUT Charlemagne convinced me that this course was perfect for me. This establishment presents a very professional image with brand-new equipment.
