Before the BUT:
To gain a clearer idea of the direction I wanted to take, I began high school with a general and technological curriculum at Jean-Hanzelet High School in Pont-à-Mousson.
With a strong interest in computer science, I then chose to specialize in STI2D (Science and Technology of Industry and Sustainable Development). During my final year, I studied ITEC (Technological Innovation and Eco-Design), which helped me develop my understanding of materials and their role in the technological objects around us.
I also explored fundamental concepts related to energy, information and matter, while taking part in practical projects, including the design and creation of a technical object.
BUT MMI:

The BUT Métiers du Multimédia et de l’Internet (MMI) is a three-year University Bachelor of Technology covering communication, graphic design, web development, audiovisual production and digital project management.
The programme teaches students how to develop a communication strategy and create and manage the media required to implement it effectively. It also provides practical skills in computer graphics, web development and mobile application development.
During my studies, I developed skills in web development and audiovisual production, including video editing and computer graphics. I also gained experience using professional software and equipment, allowing me to broaden my knowledge of the digital world.
The programme covered audiovisual production, graphic design, web development, web integration, marketing, content management, economics, law and project management.
Multimedia and Internet careers cover a wide range of fields, from website design and development to social media management and digital content creation. The MMI programme combines current professional practices with innovative technologies, professional equipment and hands-on projects.
I then chose to specialize in Digital Creation, focusing on visual communication through graphic design and multimedia content. This specialization confirmed my interest in pursuing a career in graphic design and creative media.
During my third year, I worked on video game and 3D animation projects, including motion capture and video mapping.
Why I chose this course:

I have always been drawn to creativity, design and audiovisual production. A visit to the France 3 studios gave me the opportunity to discover what goes on behind the scenes of a television news programme, from journalism and video editing to preparing reports for broadcast.
I had previously enjoyed creating and publishing video game tutorials on YouTube, and experiencing a professional editing environment encouraged me to explore this field further.
While researching courses on the Onisep website, I discovered the BUT MMI programme. The online open days organized by IUT Nancy-Charlemagne convinced me that it was the right course for me. I was particularly impressed by its professional approach and modern facilities.
