Separatist March Animation

Display used for a school project on an animation of characters.

As a Star Wars fan, I’ve always loved the planet Naboo and the Theed city, with the tan architectural buildings and pretty flower containers.

My first step in the design process was to create a couple buildings. I took inspiration from Star Wars games and movies. The houses are decorated with colored banners, mural ornaments, flower balconies, sand green roofs or flat tan roofs…

To place the buildings, I created a large street by using dark tan tiles, to represent the usual paving of Theed. Some street lights and plant containers come to decorate the path.

To improve the aspect of a Separatist parade, I decided to add a custom built AAT !

It is a very iconic vehicle from the prequels, and I seeked to give it the closest look to the original material, while not being too detailed either. The most part to me was to make the bottom missile launchers as accurate as possible.

Regarding playability of the model, most of the usual moovability is here. The interior cart is removable and can hold a pilot!

Now, all that was left to do was to gather every element together and add the droids, to have a proper display!

And once I had all the elements for my animation, some work on a 3D software and here is the result :
